Pre-Matric Scholarship
The Department is implementing Pre Matric Scholarship scheme under Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. This is 100% centrally sponsored scheme.The Director, School Education is the Nodal Officer of this scheme.

Samagra Shiksha
Samagra Shiksha is an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12. The scheme has been prepared with the broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. It subsumes the three Schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE) and was launched in 2018.

Nagaland Disaster Management School Safety Policy
The Nagaland Disaster Management School Safety Policy (NDMSSP) Compliance Course is a mandatory course for all teachers and schools in the state. It is a comprehensive online course designed to train and equip teachers and educators with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure a safe and resilient school environment. The online course was launched on 1st December 2023 on Statehood Day by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri. Neiphiu Rio. The objective of the course is to certify all teachers and stakeholders in Nagaland on the school safety policy, keeping in mind the safety of children and schools in the State.
